How We Reimagined the Towel

Some ideas do not begin with a grand vision. Some begin with standing in a towel after a shower, trying to brush your hair, answer the door, apply moisturiser, find your clothes, and keep the towel from giving up entirely.

Dry Dolly was created for that exact moment.

The moment after the shower, before the outfit. The moment when you are clean, mostly dry, slightly warm, possibly moisturised, and absolutely not ready to pull on proper clothes. For years, women have been given the same limited options: a towel that slips, a robe that overheats, an old T-shirt that clings, or a beach cover-up that looks nice but does not actually dry you.

We thought that was strange. So we reimagined the towel.

Dry Dolly was not created for one single occasion. It was created for the overlooked transition moments where towels, robes and cover-ups all nearly work, but not quite.

We did not want to create fashion for fashion’s sake. Dry Dolly had to be beautiful, but it also had to earn its place in your routine.

That meant making something absorbent enough to dry you, secure enough to move in, flattering enough to feel good in, and simple enough to use every day. It had to work at home, but also in hotels, spas, changing rooms, on holiday, at the beach, by the pool, on a boat and in every awkward little space between wet and dressed.

Dry Dolly was created by sisters Tara and Rachael to solve a problem women know instantly, even if they have never put it into words.
